Part of the Royal Thai Navy Sports Development Centre, Tublamu boasts a beautifully laid-out 18-hole course (par 72, 6825 yards). The layout winds through ancient jungles and is spectacularly framed by distant mountains, presenting both breathtaking aesthetics and potential danger for errant shots.
Despite its rustic charm, the course offers a challenging experience for golfers of all levels. Water hazards are strategically placed throughout, demanding careful shot selection and course management. The par-3 6th will test your nerve with a water expanse guarding the green, while the long par-3 15th demands precise distance control. Accuracy is also crucial on the par-4 7th and 9th, where water flanks both fairways.
The true test of skill arrives at the par-5 3rd hole. Stretching 563 yards, it demands both power and precision. Water lurks along the left side, and the green sits on a peninsula, requiring a near-certain approach shot over water. For the brave and skilled, a tee shot hugging the water can drastically shorten the hole, but any miscalculation leads to a watery demise.
Beyond the golf itself, Tublamu offers a tranquil escape from the more commercial courses in the area. The clubhouse is basic but functional, and the course itself is a haven for local birds.
